Primary Electrical Installations Engineer

Job Description:

  • Represent the company in engineering meetings with contractors and clients throughout project implementation;
  • Actively participate in electrical works as well as in testing and commissioning programs;
  • Prepare technical documentation and user manuals for implemented projects;
  • Perform inspections, maintenance work, and emergency interventions in the event of incidents for primary circuit systems of equipment in transformer stations, connection points, substations, and SCADA systems (protection devices, automation systems, measurement, control and command equipment, rectifiers, inverters, data transmission systems, etc.);
  • Prepare documentation for the commissioning and acceptance of new or upgraded installations;
  • Perform testing and measurements on transformers, medium and high voltage cables, and switchgear;
  • Commission medium and high voltage electrical equipment;
  • Perform switching operations on medium and high voltage switchgear;
  • Issue test reports and electrical measurement records;
  • Locate cable routes and troubleshoot faults in underground medium and high voltage cables;
  • Interpret single - line and schematic electrical diagrams;
  • Prepare technical and commercial offers for primary electrical installations works;
  • Ensure project execution is carried out in line with technical specifications, economic parameters, internal regulations, standards, contractual and reliability requirements.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the renewable energy or high-voltage equipment sector;
  • Strong knowledge of power systems, particularly medium and high voltage equipment (PE 116), including safety standards for such installations, network analysis, and optimization;
  • Experience with PRAM Auto labs and knowledge of defectoscopy techniques;
  • ANRE (Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority) electrician license – an advantage;
  • GWO (Global Wind Organisation) certification – an advantage;
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar software – an advantage;
  • English language proficiency (minimum intermediate level);
  • Strong organizational and planning skills for efficient resource management;
  • Proficiency in performing electrical measurements on medium and high voltage equipment (insulation resistance, ohmic resistance, dissipation factor, transformation ratio, etc.);
  • Proficiency in performing electrical tests on low voltage systems (ground resistance, step and touch voltage, continuity, phase sequence, etc.);
  • Fit for working at heights;
  • Technical skills in handling tools, equipment, and machinery;
  • Willingness to travel and work in industrial environments (construction sites, wind turbines, photovoltaic parks, transformer stations, etc.);
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesize complex information;
  • Team spirit, effective communication, and adaptability to various tasks;
  • Category B driving license.
