Corni Wind Power Plant

Project Overview: Corni Wind Power Plant is located in Corni, Galati County, with an installed capacity of 70 MW and including 35 wind turbines. Direct Network Solutions was responsible for designing and upgrading the alarm systems and communication infrastructure, as well as providing ongoing maintenance services.
Our Scope:
- Design of intrusion alarm systems
- Design and installation of an Ethernet communications network for the turbine alarm control panels, using the existing fiber optic infrastructure within the wind turbines
- Procurement of equipment and materials
- Installation and upgrade of the intrusion alarm system
- Maintenance of intrusion alarm systems at the Corni 110/30 kV substation and within the 35 wind turbines
- Corrective maintenance services for fiber optic networks within the Corni Wind Farm:
- Fiber optic communication link between the Corni substation and the Cudalbi substation
- Fiber optic communication link between the wind turbines and the Corni 110/30 kV substation
